What we don't know!

This collection is inspired by forgotten bookshelves. It's telling us about books that written under the blade of censorship and the pressure of despotism or some written in pure democracy and freedom of speech and what have we done?We have turned them into decorative objects.
Nassim Nicholas Taleb in her book " The black swan " says : The books which haven not been read are more important than the ones which have been, because they remind us; there are things we don't know.
In this project, I searched in my own bookshelf and in our family library. I found some books which have been sat on the shelves over 10 years and never been read and I turned them into artworks. The exaggeration in the look of these pieces may draw audiences' attention and arouse their curiosity to discover the content of the books. And of course that wouldn't be possible without destroying the attractive appearance of the pieces.
This work refers to the letters written by famous authors in prison,e.g.Gandhi,Ahmad Shamlou,Nazim Hikmet...
